100 MPH Chase: Holyoke Mom Caught Fleeing Cops With Teen Driver Charged, Police Say
Police have charged the Holyoke mother of a 16-year-old teenager caught running from police at 110 mph in West Springfield earlier this week. She was in the backseat during the chase. Kelly LeBlanc, 43, was summoned on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and contributing to the delinquency of a child, a Massachusetts State Police spokesperson said. LeBlanc was inside the 2012 Nissan Altima with her son when he sped away from police around 6 p.m. Monday, May 8, along the Massachusetts Turnpike, troopers said, topping out at speeds above 100 mph, troopers said. …

Five Nabbed After Western Mass Narcotics Investigation
A monthlong investigation into drug sales in Western Massachusetts led to the arrest of five suspects who are facing a variety of drug and breaking and entering charges, police said. Over the past month, members of the Springfield Police Department Metro Unit and Narcotics Unit have been investigating an apartment on the 0-100 block of Pearl Street for the distribution of narcotics. MA Man Driving Car Allegedly Packed With Drugs, Guns Is Busted After Running Red Light
A man driving a car allegedly stuffed with guns and drugs was busted after he ran a red light in front of a police officer. On Monday, March 1, around 7 p.m., a Massachusetts State Police Trooper on patrol was stopped at a red light at the intersection of State and Main streets in Springfield when he allegedly observed a black Dodge Charger run a red light. The officer pulled over the vehicle, which was rented. Neither the driver nor the passenger had a license to operate a motor vehicle, police said.
