Drugs, Cash, Cars, Pablo Escobar Art: Massive Raid Seizes $1M, Busts 13 Across State: DA
Police carried out 19 raids across the state Thursday morning, April 13, and hauled in an amount of drugs and cash that would have made Pablo Escobar proud, authorities said. That's probably why officers found a painting of the former drug kingpin in one of the searches, authorities said.
Though, like their hero Escobar, 13 people involved in the drug trade found themselves in jail, authorities said.

Silver Alert Issued For Missing CT Man
A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Connecticut man who suffers from advanced dementia.
Irwin Alleyne, age 86, of East Hartford, was reported missing from his residence on Sunday, Aug. 7 around noon.
Alleyne is described as being a Black male, 5-foot-4, 145 pounds, bald, with a small beard, said the East Hartford Police.
He was last seen wearing jeans and a white jersey with a red neck and sleeves, police said.
He is believed to be driving a gray 2012 Toyota RAV4 with license tag CT 544LDK.

Toyota Recalls 460,000 Vehicles Due To Stability Control Glitch
Toyota announced a recall of nearly 500,000 vehicles due to a software error that can impact the vehicle stability control system.
The dealer announced that certain models of Toyota Venza, Mirai, RAV4 Hybrid, RAV4 Prime, Sienna HV, Highlander HV and Lexus LS500h, LX600, NX350h, and NX450h+ vehicles are subject to the recall.
In total, approximately 460,000 vehicles produced between 2020 and 2022 are being recalled in the US to fix the issue.

One Killed In Wrong-Way I-84 Crash
A man died after he drove his car the wrong way and slammed into an oncoming car on a busy Connecticut roadway, state police said.
It happened on a stretch of I-84 in Hartford County at around 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, in Plainville.
Hartford County resident Walter Turner, age 43, of Berlin, died after his 2006 Ford Focus hit a 2021 Toyota Rav4 LE driven by New Haven County resident Vanessa Gonzalez, age 27, of Waterbury, which was traveling westbound head-on, according to Connecticut State Police.

Two drivers were killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash in Connecticut.
It happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, on I-91 in New Haven County.
