Click here for more information on the victim.  Original: A woman was struck and killed by a train in Franklin County on Monday, June 10.  The crash happened about half a mile from the Bardwell's Ferry bridge in Shelburne Falls when a Berkshire & Eastern Railroad freight train slammed into the woman walking on or near the tracks around 5 a.m., the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. Police ID Shelburne Falls Woman, 48, Killed In Greenfield Head-On Collision A 48-year-old Shelburne Falls woman died Thursday morning, Nov. 18, after her truck hit a patch of black ice on Route 2, which sent her skidding into oncoming traffic, authorities said.  Connie Francis Rogers lost control of her Nissan Frontier around 7 a.m. near the Home Depot on Mohawk Trail in Greenfield, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said in a news release. The driver, who was operating a motorcycle, was flown to a trauma center to be treated for serious injuries.

Suspect Arrested In Death Of Western Mass Pedestrian, DA's Office Says Police have arrested a Western Mass man in connection with a crash that killed a pedestrian. The Franklin County crash, which killed a 45-year-old Shelburne Falls resident, took place around 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, along Route 2 in Shelburne, said Laurie Loisel, with the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
