A 46-year-old man who threatened to shoot everyone at a Franklin County elementary school will remain in jail following a dangerousness hearing on Wednesday, March 29. Theodore R. A 46-year-old Northfield man is being held without bail after he allegedly threatened a school shooting on Friday, March 24, authorities said. The threat caused administrators at Northfield Elementary School to lock down the building and order students and teachers to shelter in place. Theodore R. Teen Shot Near CT High School
A 16-year-old student was shot near a Connecticut high school, causing the school to go on lockdown. The incident took place in Hartford County around 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, near New Britain High School. According to New Britain Police Chief Christopher Chute, the teen was shot by suspects in an early 2000s light blue or light gray Nissan Altima. Police Increase Presence Around CT High School After Threat
There was an increased police presence outside a Connecticut high school after there were allegations that a student made threats against the school, police said. In Hartford County, extra officers responded to the Howell Cheney Technical School in Manchester after a student reportedly expressed a desire to commit a school shooting, though it was later determined that it wasn’t related to a firearm, and instead a knife was recovered from the teen.
