$1M Lottery Win: Western Mass Woman Used Race Cars, Convenience Store To Pick Numbers Three people from Massachusetts won $1 million each in the $1 billion Powerball drawing on Friday, July 21. Two of those winners said they had help picking their numbers.  Rae Ann Wentworth-Cadieux, of Hadley, chose her numbers based on a convenience store chain 7-11 and race cars, the Massachusetts State Lottery said.  The winning numbers were 7, 10, 11, 13, 24, with the Powerball number 24.  Wentworth-Cadieux got all the numbers but missed the Powerball. Man, 72, With Severe Memory Impairment Missing In Western Mass Police in Western Massachusetts have asked residents to be on the lookout for a 72-year-old man with severe memory impairment who walked away from a hotel on Tuesday, July 18.  Henry "Hank" Appleton was last seen in n Hampshire County at the Courtyard Marriott, 43 Russell St. in Hadley, around 2 a.m., state police said.
