Chopt will officially open its first Hartford County location on Wednesday, June 15. The new restaurant is located at 2520 Main St. in Glastonbury. The company said it will celebrate a "Chopt Gives Day" from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, during which 100 percent of sales will be donated to Horizons at Westminster. The mild, shaking jolt in Connecticut that startled some in Fairfield County, was in fact a mild earthquake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The USGS, the organization responsible for earthquake tracking around the country, said the 1.4-magnitude quake took place at 12:38 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 27 in Greenwich, two kilometers north-northwest of the neighborhood of Cos Cob.
