Man Guilty Of Drunken Crash That Killed 47-Year-Old Springfield Father Of 2: DA A Hampden County jury found a 39-year-old man Springfield man guilty of a 2018 drunken fatal crash, authorities announced.  Misael Sanchez was found guilty of manslaughter while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol on Friday, Feb. 2, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said. One Killed In Crash Between Car, Motorcycle In Western Mass A motorcyclist was killed in a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place around 8:10 p.m., Thursday, March 25, on Parker Street near Frederic Street in Springfield, said Springfield Police Spokesman Ryan Walsh. When officers arrived on the scene they found an adult male motorcycle rider who was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he died from his injuries, Walsh said. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the SPD Traffic Unit investigation.

AAA Forecasts Fall Gas Prices - Where To Get The Lowest-Price Gas Now With fewer people traveling due to COVID-19 restrictions, the price of gas has dropped to under $2 per gallon at gas stations across Central and Western Massachusetts. On average, national gas prices are 50 cents less than they were at this time last year, according to AAA.  And the national auto club expects this downward trend to continue through the fall.
