A 37-year-old Worcester County man faces multiple felony charges after police say he crashed his pickup truck into a box truck on the Massachusetts Turnpike Tuesday morning, Sept. 19, because he was high. Nathan Miranda, of Winchendon, was arrested and charged with OUI-Drugs, OUI-Drugs causing serious injury, possession of a Class B drug, and other motor vehicle offenses, Massachusetts State Police said. A Plymouth man on narcotics racked up a slew of criminal charges after multiple police pursuits that ended after officers deflated his tires and he lost control of his vehicle, authorities said. A Massachusetts State Trooper attempted to stop Michael J. Goncalves, age 25, after noticing his vehicle had a license plate violation around 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, according to Massachusetts State Police. Goncalves refused to stop for the officer, who attempted to apprehend him while he was driving on Route 3 in Kingston, and instead drove away at almost 100 miles per hour, police said. …

'In Plain Sight': Gun Sighting Grants Eastern Mass Man OUI, Weapons Charges
A Massachusetts State Trooper's quick eye and a Brookline man's poor hiding skills resulted in him getting slapped with several weapons and drug-related charges. Stewart Silvestri, age 24, was arrested after a Trooper spotted a gun "in plain sight" in Silvestri's car while at a weigh station on I-95 in Rowley on Saturday night, Oct. 15, State Police said.
