Airport officials closed the departures terminal of a Connecticut airport after a passenger attempted to bring a hollowed-out grenade through security. The New Haven County incident happened on the morning of Wednesday, May 8 at Tweed Airport in the city of New Haven. Police arrested some 45 protesting the war in Gaza at Yale University after refusing to leave the campus. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m., Monday, April 22, in Beinecke Plaza at Yale University in New Haven. According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, officers responded to assist the Yale Police Department regarding a protest in the Beinecke Plaza area. Law enforcement officials in Connecticut are continuing their search for a missing Yale employee who hasn't been seen in more than three weeks. A Connecticut police officer has been charged with allegedly patronizing a prostitute. New Haven Police Officer Christopher Troche was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 21, after turning himself in at the department, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police. A Yale University graduate student who was killed after being shot multiple times may have been targeted and police are investigating if the killing was an act of road rage. Kevin Jiang, age 26, who lived in West Haven, was shot to death on Lawrence Street between Nicoll Street and Nash Street Saturday, Feb. 6.
