Witnesses Sought: I-84 Collision Injures CT Man Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a crash between a tractor-trailer and a car that closed a lane of I-84 for several hours. The collision took place in Hartford County around 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 10 on I-84 in Southington. Hit-Run Crash: ID Released For 20-Year-Old Woman Struck, Killed By Car On I-91 Police have released the identity of a 20-year-old woman killed by a hit-and-run driver as they ask for witnesses to the crash in Connecticut. Hampden County resident Yaseri Cortes, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was struck around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 in Hartford County. Police report Cortes was standing in the center lane and was struck directly by a car on southbound I-91 in Enfield. She suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened in Hartford County on Route 2 in Glastonbury at about 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, Connecticut State Police reported. 23-Year-Old CT Man Dies After 3-Vehicle CT Crash A 23-year-old Connecticut man died at the hospital after a three-vehicle crash. The crash happened in South Windsor on westbound I-291 near the Exit 4 on-ramp at about 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, Connecticut State Police said. Jose Cotto, of Windsor Locks, was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson XL 1200 Forty-Eight when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the motorcycle and it tipped over, causing Cotto to be separated from the motorcycle, police said.
