Ex-Cop From Hudson Valley Gets Record Jan. 6 Riot Sentence For Assaulting Officer With Weapon
A retired NYPD officer from the Hudson Valley received the longest prison sentence to date among those convicted of taking part in riots at the US Capitol on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. Orange County resident Thomas Webster, age 56, of the village of Florida, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Thursday, Sept. 1, after a jury convicted him of assaulting a Washington, DC police officer with a deadly weapon. A retired NYPD officer from the Hudson Valley has been found guilty by a federal jury of assaulting a law enforcement officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. CT Cop Faces DUI, Reckless Driving Charges After Fellow Officer Is Killed In Crash
A Connecticut police officer has been accused of driving drunk in a crash that killed a fellow officer. New Haven Police Department Officer Robert Ferraro, age 34, is facing charges of driving under the influence resulting in death and reckless driving resulting in death or substantial bodily harm in the Las Vegas crash, The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
