Hospital Calls Nurses' Protest 'Misleading,' 'Inflammatory'
Hospital leaders said "misleading" and "inflammatory" information will be doled out by nurses at today's planned protest action. On Tuesday, Dec. 1, nurses plan to protest to raise awareness about what they're calling unsafe working conditions during COVID-19. The protest is being organized by the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA). Nurses will be outside of St. Vincent Hospital on Summer Street in Worcester, 2-4 p.m., wearing masks and being heard. Western Mass Nurses To Protest 'Disrespect' Of Rights During
Covid-
19 Pandemic
Nurses are slated to protest working conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic at Mercy Medical Center on Monday, Aug. 24. Organized by the Massachusetts Nurses Association, protest participants say that Mercy Medical’s owner, Trinity Health, has failed to “respect the rights of nurses, listen to their concerns and support and protect them during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic." The protest will take place on the sidewalk in front of Mercy Medical Center on Carew Street in Springfield, 4-5 p.m. Protest participants are expected to wear masks and practice social distancing.

Nurses To Protest 'Unsafe' Environment, Wage Freezes At Cooley Dickinson Hospital
Nurses and allies will protest outside of Cooley Dickinson Hospital Wednesday, Aug. 12, afternoon to bring attention to what they’re calling “unsafe” staffing levels and protections during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cooley Dickinson Hospital is based in Northampton and is owned by Mass General Brigham, formerly Partners Healthcare. In addition to the safety concerns, nurses are critical of Mass General Brigham’s proposed wage and retirement freezes. A request for comment from Mass General Brigham was not immediately returned.
