Apparent School Violence Threat Under Investigation In Hampden County
Police in Western Massachusetts were called into action to investigate a rumor regarding an alleged threat made toward an area high school. In Hampden County, the Ludlow Police Department issued an alert after it was alerted to a threat regarding school violence at the high school shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2. According to Lt. David R.G. Irwin, working with administrators at the Ludlow High School, they traced the rumor back to its source, a student at the high school, and ultimately determined that the threat was not credible.

Western Mass Couple Arrested After Fighting With Cops, Police Say
A Western Massachusetts couple was arrested on a variety of charges including driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest following a traffic stop. The incident took place on Saturday, Sept. 18 in Hampden County when Michelle Siddle, age 54, of Ludlow, was stopped for failing to stop at the intersection of Fuller Street and Chapin Street. While speaking to police, she admitted to drinking alcohol that evening, and officers were able to detect signs that she was impaired, the Ludlow Police Department said. A woman who obstructed traffic while dancing in the middle of traffic at a busy intersection in a hazmat suit took police on a low-speed chase before being apprehended in Western Massachusetts. The Ludlow Police Department in Hampden County received a call on Tuesday, Sept. 21 for a woman creating a traffic jam in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of Holyoke Street and Kendall Street. Police Searching For Missing Mother, Three Children
Authorities are asking the public for help verifying the safety of a mother and her three children who've gone missing in Massachusetts. The Ludlow Police Department in Hampden County reported that 9-year-old Aiden Reeves, 5-year-old Grace Krupa, and 3-year-old Isaac Krupa were last seen on May 5. Police said the three children may be in the company of their mother, 30-year-old Ashley Kulig. Kulig is described as being 5-foot-7, with brown eyes and brown hair. Teen Trio Nabbed Breaking Into Vehicles In Western Mass, Police Say
Three Western Mass teens were arrested for allegedly breaking into a parked vehicle and then fleeing in stolen cars. The incident took place around 1 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, when Ludlow Police officers responded to the area of Walnut and Oak streets for a report of a motor vehicle break-in and vandalism, said Ludlow Police Chief Daniel Valadas. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness who identified one of the juveniles as a suspect, who was later taken into custody. A recent rash of vehicle thefts and break-ins have caused police in Western Massachusetts to advise residents to lock up their cars at night.
