Child Rape: Middle School Teacher Accused Of Assaulting Minor, Central Mass DA Says
A Worcester County middle school English teacher is on administrative leave after he was accused of raping a child, authorities said.
Todd Peloquin, 52, of Leicester, was arrested earlier this month and charged with aggravated rape, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and one count of indecent assault and battery on a child over 14, among other crimes, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said. He has pleaded not guilty in the case.

20-Year-Old Killed After Jeep Crashes Into Trees On Massachusetts Roadway, Police Say
A 20-year-old Massachusetts man was killed after his Jeep ran off the roadway and into a line of trees, authorities said.
The crash took place in Worcester in Northborough around At 8:55 a.m. Sunday, May 22 on Route 290.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Elijah Pye, age 20, of Leicester, was driving a 2007 Jeep Wrangler was eastbound on Route 290 taking exit 30A when, for reasons still under investigation, the Jeep ran off the roadway on the left side and struck several trees, said Massachusetts State Police.

More than 50 Massachusetts cities and towns are now considered to be at “high-risk” for spreading COVID-19 infections, according to the most recent state data.

The trailer for a major Hollywood movie shot in Worcester, “Honest Thief” starring Liam Neeson, is out now.
