Two minors have been charged with pouring muriatic acid on slides in Hampden County and injuring multiple children, authorities said. Police said the juveniles poured the toxic material on the slides at Bliss Park in Longmeadow on June 11. Four children who played on them later were burned by the caustic substance. An investigation found that the juveniles had stolen muriatic acid from the pool's pump room at the park and poured it on three slides. Three students are expected to face charges for making a fake bomb threat and forcing two schools in central Massachusetts on lockdown, authorities said. A parent called police about someone wearing a mask who claimed to a have a bomb near Douglas Elementary School around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, Douglas Police said on Facebook. Ghost Gun Found At CT High School Following Fight
Three students were arrested following a fight at a Connecticut high school in which a loaded ghost gun was found. The fight took place in Litchfield County in New Milford around 9:20 a.m., Tuesday, April 26 at New Milford High School. The school was immediately put into lockdown and officers swiftly moved to locate the involved parties, said Chief Spencer Cerruto, of the New Milford Police. One of two suspects in Connecticut is facing charges after allegedly assaulting and robbing someone during a planned transaction, police said. In Hartford County, police were dispatched to an area of Tariff Street in Enfield at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Monday, March 28, where there was a report of a robbery that had just taken place. A 17-year-old is facing multiple burglary and larceny charges for his alleged involvement in a number of vehicle break-ins in Connecticut. Police in Hartford County said a group of people was breaking into vehicles in Enfield at about 2:30 a.m. on July 4. A juvenile is facing several charges after remotely breaking into the online classroom of a high school in the region, and then using racial slurs, according to police.
