A vehicle driving down I-91 had a license plate so obscured by road salt and dirt that it attracted police attention leading to the alleged discovery of about 900 packs of heroin and more than 45 grams of crack.

It was already a big bust, with police seizing meth, heroin, and cocaine, but when officers found a secret compartment in a truck they had pulled over on I-91 an even larger stash of drugs was discovered.
Altogether, officers seized nearly 5,000 bags of individually wrapped opioids - heroin and fentanyl - among other drugs.
