A day after learning of ballerina Michaela DePrince's sudden death, her family has revealed that her adoptive mom passed away within the following 24 hours, according to a Facebook post, and confirmed by the family to Daily Voice on Saturday, Sept. 14. Elaine DePrince of Cherry Hill, NJ died "after many years of battling a hereditary disease and heart failure," as stated in the post. She passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11. She was 77 years old. 450 Patients File Lawsuit Against Salem Hospital After Potential Exposure To HIV, Hepatitis
Patients have filed a class-action lawsuit against Salem Hospital after nearly 450 of them say they were potentially exposed to HIV and hepatitis through their IVs. Endoscopy patients at Salem Hospital “were potentially exposed to infection due to the administration of their intravenous medication in a manner not consistent with our best practice,” the hospital said in a statement to the Daily Voice. Some Americans may require a fourth shot of the COVID-19 vaccine if they are immunocompromised, according to new federal guidance.
