Wanted Kidnapper Busted After Caught Speeding In Western Mass: Police
If you're a wanted man, it pays to obey the speed limit. At least, that's what a convicted kidnapper wanted for a parole violation in Berkshire County found out this week. Arthur Jones III was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 6, following a routine traffic stop in Hinsdale, Hinsdale police said. The officer pulled Jones over for speeding just after 4 p.m. and realized he had an active warrant for his arrest, authorities said. Employee Accused Of Intentionally Setting Fire At Western Mass Restaurant
An employee of a Western Massachusetts restaurant is accused of intentionally setting the building on fire over the weekend. Authorities in Berkshire County received a report of a fire at Olde Forge Restaurant, located at 125 North Main St. in Lanesborough, at about 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, according to the Lanesborough Police Department. 32-Year-Old CT Man Killed In Head-On Crash, Police Say
An investigation is underway after a 32-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a head-on crash in Massachusetts. Troopers received reports of a serious head-on crash on Route 8 in the Berkshire County town of Sandisfield at about 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, according to Massachusetts State Police. Police said the crash happened near the 7.3 mile marker.
