One of the biggest events of the year in Worcester County is the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which will be held Sunday, March 12. If you plan on attending, here are some things you should know, according to the parade's official website. The parade starts at noon and runs between one and a half to two hours. Welding Accident Caused Fire At Worcester High School Under Construction
A welding accident is to blame for a 3-alarm fire that broke out at a school building that is still under construction and sent one person to the hospital in Worcester, authorities said. Worcester firefighters responded to the fire at the New Doherty High School at 299 Highland Street on the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 12, Deputy Fire Chief Adam Roche said in a statement. AAA Forecasts Fall Gas Prices - Where To Get The Lowest-Price Gas Now
With fewer people traveling due to COVID-19 restrictions, the price of gas has dropped to under $2 per gallon at gas stations across Central and Western Massachusetts. On average, national gas prices are 50 cents less than they were at this time last year, according to AAA. And the national auto club expects this downward trend to continue through the fall.
