Western Mass Cop Welcomed Home 175 Days After Post ‘Battle Of The Badges’ Heart Attack
A Hampden County police officer who nearly died while being rushed to the hospital in the spring returned home to a hero's welcome over the weekend. Chicopee Officer Mark Wilkes called 911 on March 13 after complaining he wasn't feeling well. He'd competed in the annual Battle of the Badges between the Chicopee police and fire departments earlier that day but didn't feel right after returning home. Russell-Montgomery Police responded to a water emergency on the Westfield River around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, the department reported on Facebook. Police Officers Jump Into Action To Save Woman At South Shore Movie Theater
Three officers from the Braintree Police Department were the real stars of the show when they helped a save a woman's life at move theater last weekend. Officers Chris Horigan, Matt Columbus and Mark Gibbons responded for a report of a woman choking at the AMC Theater in Braintree on the evening of Saturday, June 4, the department said on Facebook. The rapper DMX is hospitalized in his native New York in Westchester County in grave condition, according to a report by TMZ.
