Storm Bringing Snow, Wintry Mix Leads To School Closures, Could Cause Hazardous Travel A new winter storm system arriving from west to east on Wednesday morning, March 9 has led to numerous school closures and could cause hazardous travel at times during the day into the early evening. Some roads can become slushy and slippery and a few inches can accumulate in grassy areas, on cars and other elevated surfaces, according to AccuWeather.  Generally, 1 to 3 inches of snowfall is expected, with lesser amounts around the coast.
