33-Year-Old Killed Walking Along Route 116 In Western Mass
A 33-year-old Sunderland man was killed on Saturday morning, Jan. 6, while walking a road in Hampshire County, authorities said. The man, whose name was not released, was walking on the side of Route 116 in Hadley when he was struck by a 29-year-old Deerfield woman, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. No charges have been filed, and the woman's name was not released. She remained at the scene and called 911. Bystanders gave the man medical aid until paramedics arrived. A Jersey City, NJ, man posing as a DEA agent attempted to scam an Athol woman out of more than $330,000 in a complicated grift involving non-existent drug dealers and a car loaded down with fake gold in a Texas Roadhouse parking lot, federal authorities said. ID Released For Driver Killed In Western Mass Crash
A Western Massachusetts man who died in a single-car crash has been identified by police. Hampden County resident Gabriel Morales, 25, of Springfield, was killed around 2 a.m., Thursday, March 24 in Hampshire County in Hadley, said Laurie Loisel, spokeswoman for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office. Driver Dies After Crashing Into Tree In Western Mass
A Western Massachusetts man was killed when his vehicle left the road striking a tree, officials said. The crash occurred in Hampshire County shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, March 24 in Hadley. Prior to the crash, a Hadley Police officer observed the vehicle make a wide turn onto Mill Valley Road from Route 9, briefly leaving the roadway and driving over grass, said Laurie Loisel, spokeswoman for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
