These NJ Stop & Shop Stores Are Among 32 Underperforming Locations Slated For Closure Stop & Shop has released a list of the 32 underperforming stores by the end of the year. The grocery giant in March announced that it planned on closing a number of stores "in the interest of company longevity," as previously reported by Daily Voice. Gunman Nabbed In Fatal Shooting At NY Stop & Shop Police have confirmed they have apprehended the man wanted in connection with a shooting at a Long Island Stop & Shop that left one dead and injured two. Nassau County Police have not yet offered details surrounding the arrest of 30-year-old Gabriel DeWitt Wilson, who allegedly walked into the West Hempstead supermarket before opening fire in a manager's office on the second floor.
