A 20-year-old Connecticut man and his 16-year-old passenger were killed after they crashed into a tree.
The crash took place in Hartford County around 1:50 a.m., on Sunday, July 16 in Glastonbury.
According to Lt. Anthony Pagliughi, of the Glastonbury Police, officers responded to the 1100 block of Manchester Road for a report of a crash involving a car into a tree.

Alex Josephs, of the city of Hartford, must also repay $298,073.86 to three Connecticut and Western Massachusetts stores he and his team of burglars robbed over the course of several months in 2021, the US Attorney for Connecticut said.

39-Year-Old CT Man Hits Tree, Killed In Crash
A Connecticut man was killed in a single-vehicle crash after losing control of his car and hitting a tree.
The incident took place in Hartford County around 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, April 21 in Glastonbury.
Lt. Kevin Szydlo, of the Glastonbury Police, said members of the police and fire departments, along with EMS responded to the crash at the intersection of Hopewell Road and Matson Hill Road.

A Connecticut store will soon permanently close its doors after 102 years in business.
Melzen Pet Supply, located in the Hartford County town of Glastonbury, will have its last day of business on Saturday, Nov. 12, the owners announced on Monday, Oct. 10.
The owners said their grandfather, Stanley Melzen, first opened the business, located at 100 Oak St. Glastonbury, in the 1920s shortly after he immigrated from Poland, and he passed the business on to their father, Joe Sr.

25-Year-Old Local Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle CT Crash
A 25-year-old area woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 2.
The crash took place in East Hartford around 11 p.m., Thursday, May 5, said the Connecticut State Police.
When troopers arrived on the scene, an investigation found Wanda Figueroa, age 25, of Hartford, with serious injuries and she was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

CT Man Found Guilty Of Failing To Pay Taxes On $950K In Income
A Connecticut attorney was convicted of failing to pay taxes on about $950,000 in income.
Deron Freeman, a resident of Glastonbury in Hartford County, was found guilty on Monday, April 18, of three counts of making and subscribing a false tax return and four counts of failure to pay income tax, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Freeman, age 47, owned a law office in Hartford, where he primarily practiced in the areas of personal injury and criminal law, Boyle said.

The ribbon-cutting for Berkins on Main, located in Hartford, took place on Friday, Jan. 21.

Four CT Men Accused Of Committing Violent Robberies At AT&T Stores
Four men are facing federal charges following a spree of violent robberies at AT&T stores in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, authorities announced.
Hartford residents Alex Josephs, age 21, Ronaldo Smith, age 23, Shaquille Raymond, age 23, and Deshawn Baugh, age 19, have been charged following the spree, which included pistol-whipping some employees while threatening others at gunpoint.
