Iconic Pizzeria Opens New Shops Far From Its Connecticut Roots, With Locale In Florida Planned An iconic Connecticut-based pizzeria chain is reportedly going to open a new location in Florida, according to Naples Florida Weekly. Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana has plans to open in the Sunshine State, a Trinity Commercial Group representative confirmed to the news outlet. “We have no immediate plans to search in SW Florida for Frank Pepe’s but we have signed some leases in Southeast Florida and continue to actively search on this [east] coast,” the group emailed Naples Florida Weekly.  The pizzeria chain currently lists Plantation, Florida, as a location on its jobs page. P…

Frank Pepe's Unveils Brand-New Pizza: Here's What's In It New Haven's Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, named the best pizza in the country by The Daily Meal and The Guardian, is debuting a new iteration of its classic coal-fired pies.  Available for a limited time starting Monday, Nov. 30, the eatery known for its crunchy, charred crust will list chicken pesto pizza on its menu at its 12 locations in the Northeast.  The breakout pizza is made with mozzarella cheese, oven-roasted chicken, red peppers, nut-free pesto sauce, grated pecorino romano cheese and olive oil.
