ID Released For Man Stabbed To Death In Springfield; Roommate Charged Police have released the identity of the man stabbed to death last week in Springfield. Investigators said his roommate wielded the knife.  Daniel Medina, 49, was found bleeding from a stab wound inside his home on Euclid Avenue early in the morning of Thursday, July 27, Springfield police said. Man Stabs Roommate To Death In Western Mass: Police A 63-year-old Springfield man was arrested on Thursday, July 27, after his roommate was stabbed to death earlier that morning, authorities said.  Robert Woods, 63, is charged with murder in connection with the death, Springfield police said.  Police responded to Woods' apartment on Euclid Avenue just before 5 a.m. to calls of a medical emergency. Officers found a man who also lived there lying in a pool of blood on the apartment floor with a stab wound, authorities said.  He was dead at the scene.
