CT State Trooper Faces DUI Charge In Fairfield County
A Connecticut State Police trooper has been arrested for driving under the influence and other charges in Fairfield County.
Trooper Andrew Murphy was arrested by Bethel Police around 2:10 a.m., Sunday, June 20, after an officer spotted him in a parking lot stumbling and apparently intoxicated, said Bethel PD Lt. Robert J. Durkin.
The officer spoke with Murphy and instructed him not to drive his vehicle, which was parked, Durkin said.
"Murphy disregarded the officer, entered his vehicle, and began driving," he said.

A Connecticut woman was arrested after allegedly hitting a police vehicle while driving in the wrong direction on I-91, while drunk.
Latifah Roldan, age 31, of East Hartford, was arrested by Connecticut State Police, on Sunday, May 2, following the incident which took place in the area of Exit 36 in Windsor, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to police, troopers responded to the area after receiving multiple calls around 1:30 a.m., that a Toyota sedan was driving southbound in the northbound lane.

A man, who was allegedly served 12 alcoholic drinks at a local bar before getting behind the wheel of a car, has been arraigned on manslaughter charges for a fatal crash with a pedestrian.
On Monday, Dec. 21, Ian McGrath, 23, of Worcester, pled not guilty to charges of committing motor vehicle homicide while drunk, committing manslaughter while drunk, and manslaughter, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
