Two men have been arrested for allegedly breaking into a Western Massachusets home with masks on. The Hampden County incident took place around 7:50 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 in Longmeadow on Converse Street. According to the Longmeadow police, officers responded to the home for a report of two suspects breaking into the home. Police Issue Alert For Suspicious Man Seen Walking On Residential Property In Longmeadow
Homeowners in Western Massachusetts are being advised to be on high alert after a suspicious man was caught on camera approaching a home and fleeing when approached by a homeowner. In Hampden County, a Longmeadow resident living on Converse Street had a curious encounter with a stranger shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 24 as he walked on her property and up to her front door. Hampden County Man Sentenced For Placing Firebomb At Jewish Nursing Home, Lying To FBI
A Western Massachusetts man will spend years behind bars after being sentenced for placing a lit firebomb at the entrance of a Jewish nursing home and lying to the FBI about it, federal authorities announced. Hampden County resident John Rathbun, age 37, of East Longmeadow, has been sentenced to five years in prison and three years of supervised release after being convicted by a federal jury for attempting to bomb the facility on April 2, 2020, and later lying to investigators about his whereabouts that day. Three Hospitalized After Head-On Hampden County Crash During Storm
Three people received minor injuries during a head-on crash during a snowstorm in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Hampden County around 9:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, near the intersection of Converse Street and Rugby Road in Longmeadow. When police arrived on the scene they found one of the vehicles on fire, but an officer was able to extinguish the flames, according to Longmeadow Police. Three people were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, police said.

House Fire Breaks Out In Western Mass
A two-alarm fire broke out in a Western Massachusetts home early on Thursday morning that crews were able to contain to a basement, officials said. First responders were dispatched to a basement fire in Hampden County, on Converse Street in Longmeadow, at around 1:35 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, following a call from WestComm Regional Dispatch.
