Mass Officer Narrowly Avoids Falling Tree That Crushes His Cruiser
An officer on patrol Saturday, Sept. 16, in Norfolk County said he just barely escaped a large tree that fell and crushed his police cruiser, authorities said. The officer was outside his patrol car responding to a call of low-hanging wires near the intersection of South Main Street and River Road in Cohasset when he heard a loud snap nearby and watched as a giant tree fell toward him. Brian Walshe Charged With Killing Missing Wife, Ana Walshe: DA In MA
Authorities announced that it would charge Brian Walshe with the murder of his 39-year-old wife, Ana Walshe, whose been missing since New Year's Day in Massachusetts. Norifolk County District Attorney Michael Morrisey detailed the charge in a minute-long YouTube video but did not disclose any further evidence in the case. Walshe will be arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 18. Cohasset Police have been building a case against Brian Walshe, age 47, since Ana, a mother of three, was reported missing by her employer on Wednesday, Jan. 4. High School Hoopster Punched Referee In Face During Game Against Cohasset: Police
Police say a 17-year-old Boston basketball player punched a referee in the face during a game at Cohasset High School Wednesday night, Dec. 28. Cohasset High was facing off against South Boston's Excel High School when one of the Excel players attacked the ref around 6:45 p.m., Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley said in a news release. He did not say what sparked the alleged assault. School officials immediately canceled the game and cleared the gym. The referee did not require medical attention, Quigley said.
