IDs Released Of 2 Men, 2 Women Killed In Wrong-Way I-95 Crash The identities have been released of two men and two women all in their 20s who were killed in a horrific wrong-way crash on a stretch of I-95 in Connecticut. It happened at around 1:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 in New Haven County on the southbound side when a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes in West Haven, Connecticut State Police said.  The pickup truck then crashed into a Nissan Altima while in the left lane.  Following impact, the Silverado entered the center lane and collided with a southbound Nissan Sentra.&…

Athol Woman Killed, 2 Injured In Head-On Western Mass Crash A 57-year-old Worcester County woman was killed after a car drifted into her lane and collided with her car on Friday afternoon, June 30, authorities said.  Tracy Matthews, of Athol, was driving her Chevy Cobalt east in Franklin County on Route 2 in the town of Gill near Barton Cove Campground around 4 p.m. when a Mazda Miata crossed the center line and crashed into her, authorities said. Paramedics rushed her to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, where doctors pronounced Matthews dead.  The 63-year-old Needham driver of the Miati and his passenger were…

Head-On Crash: CT Woman Killed, Second Driver Injured A 39-year-old Connecticut woman was killed after allegedly crossing the double-yellow line and hitting a pickup truck head-on.  The crash took place in Tolland County around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 11, on Route 32 in Mansfield. Connecticut State Police said Vanessa Marie Rivero, of the town of Willington in Tolland County, was driving north on Route 32 near Mansfield City Road in a 2022 Volkswagen Jetta when she crossed the double-yellow line and hit a 2012 GMC Sierra head-on, before hitting a guardrail. Bicyclist Hospitalized After Western Mass Crash A 71-year-old bicyclist was hospitalized in Western Massachusetts this week after being struck by a car while crossing the street, police said. First responders from the Northampton Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of 221 Pine St. at 1:40 p.m. on Monday, June 28, where there was a report of a bicyclist who had been struck by a car.
