A teenager accused of a hit-and-run crash into a 36-year-old woman earlier this week that sent her body tumbling through the air until it landed atop a cemetery fence was arrested, authorities said.
Nathan Colon, 18, of Springfield, was arrested at his home on Lakevilla Avenue and charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash causing death, and motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, the Hampden District Attorney said.
He was being held on a $10,000 bond, authorities said.

Springfield Armed Robber May Stay In Prison Until He's 73: DA
A Springfield man could spend more than two decades behind bars for the 2021 armed robbery of a convenience store, authorities said.
Warner Donaldson, 50, was sentenced to 17 to 23 years in prison on Tuesday, Jan. 30, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office announced. A jury convicted him on Friday of armed robbery while masked, assault with a dangerous weapon, and theft under $1200.
Donaldson was accused of the Feb. 28, 2021, robbery of a convenience store in the 500 block of Boston Road, the prosecutor said.

A Waterbury, Connecticut, man awaiting a federal trial on kidnapping and murder charges admitted to killing three people in Springfield beginning in 2006, authorities said.
Calvin Robertson, 41, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, April 18, to three counts of manslaughter, the Hampden County District Attorney announced. Prosecutors chose to charge him with manslaughter to not interfere with his upcoming federal trial, where he faces a minimum of life in prison or a potential death sentence if convicted, DA Anthony Gulluni said in a news release.

Three Western Massachusetts residents, including a juvenile, have been arrested on gun charges after police allegedly found a firearm, stun gun, and shell casings during a traffic stop.
The incident took place around 2:15 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, when an alert was sent to officers of a suspect vehicle heading east on Boston Road, in Springfield.
During the stop, officers immediately spotted a firearm, which later determined to be a BB gun, on the car's floor, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police.

Police in Western Mass allegedly busted a 23-year-old man and two others with three guns, including a ghost gun during a traffic stop.
