Blake Scanlon Given Life In Prison For Stabbing Girlfriend To Death: DA
Blake Scanlon, the 27-year-old Westfield man found guilty of killing his girlfriend, will spend the rest of his life in prison following his conviction last week. A judge sentenced Scanlon to life without parole for the 2019 stabbing of Alexis Avery, the Hampden County District Attorney said on Tuesday, April 2. The couple had an infant child together. A Western Mass man being held at the Hampshire Jail while awaiting trial in connection with the 2019 slaying of his girlfriend, has been charged with allegedly plotting to kill the prosecutor and a witness in the case.
