Dangerous Bird Flu Detected In Massachusetts The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources is cautioning that wild birds in the region and neighboring states have tested positive for a dangerous, easily-transmissible strain of avian flu. An alert was issued on Thursday, March 3 by officials after Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) was detected in wild birds throughout Massachusetts.
