Ford Recalls Over 450K Of Some Of Its Most Popular Models Over Safety Concerns
Ford announced that it would recall over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick vehicles because of an issue with the battery that can cause the drive train to lose power and increase the likelihood of wrecks. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a report on Friday, April 12, saying sensors in the car could fail to notice a change in the battery's power. More Than 500K Hyundai, Kia Vehicles Being Recalled For Backward Turn Signals
Hyundai and Kia are recalling more than 550,000 vehicles in the US that may have turn signals that flash in the opposite direction of what the driver intended. The recall includes some Hyundai Sonata models between 2015 and 2017; Hyundai Sonata gas-electric hybrids produced in 2016 and 2017; and Kia Sedona minivan models between 2015 and 2017. Six Million GM Vehicles Recalled To Replace Airbags
General Motors is recalling millions more vehicles due to defective Takata-built airbag inflators. For more than a year, automakers have been recalling vehicles that were installed with defective airbags, which could potentially explode, causing injuries to the driver or passengers. According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Takata used ammonium nitrate to create a small explosion and inflate airbags in a collision.
