'Orbeez' Challenge: Mass Kids Could Be Charged For Dangerous Internet Trend
Police in one Boston suburb are heeding a warning to children and teenagers who take part in a dangerous internet trend involving toy guns and pellets. Canton Police has received multiple reports over the past few weeks about juveniles using gel ball blasters, otherwise known as "orbeez guns," in town, the department said on Facebook. The use of the guns is part of a popular social media challenge where kids fire the guns at one another. Teens Who Ambushed Middle Schoolers With Gel Gun Face Serious Charges: Police
Police charged three Auburn teens with serious felonies after they ambushed several middle school students and shots them with a child's water toy, authorities said. Though, the decision to charge them with such harsh penalties has split social media. The attacks happened just before 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the Briarcliff Drive and Bryn Mawr Avenue areas, Auburn police said.
