Days after a 19-year-old mom and a 2-year-old boy were found brutally slain inside their Connecticut home, the child's father was arrested and charged with their murders, police said.
Jevon Tyrese Fletcher, 26, of New Haven, was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of murder with exceptional circumstances, and risk of injury, West Haven police said Tuesday, Feb. 18. He was being held on a $3 million bond.

Recall Issued For Produce Sold In NY, CT Stores Over Potential Listeria Contamination
Ready-to-eat fruit and vegetable products sold in the parts of the Northeast are being recalled.
Connecticut-based Gracie’s Kitchens Inc., located in New Haven, has issued the recall due to potential contamination with Listeria, a bacteria that can cause serious health risks, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The recall involves products manufactured between Monday, Nov. 4 and Wednesday, Nov. 13, and sold under the Gracie’s Kitchens, King Kullen, and Wild By Nature brands.
The products were distributed to grocery stores in New York and Connecticut.

Wanted Man Lured Child Into His Truck Outside Of Park, Sexually Assaulted Her: Police
Police say a Connecticut man kidnapped a child younger than 13 from a New Haven playground and sexually assaulted her in his truck.
Michael Dewitt, age 45, of Seymour, faces multiple felonies from the alleged incident and is being held on a $1.25 million bond, Waterbury Police said.
The girl told police that she was playing at Fulton Park on Wednesday, Oct. 9, around 7 p.m. when a man, later identified as Dewitt, lured her into his truck, where he sexually assaulted her, authorities said. The girl fought her way free and ran to get help.
