Fire, Explosion Destroys 125-Year-Old Historic CT Golf Club
A late-night fire that caused an explosion at a Connecticut golf course in Fairfield County is under investigation, authorities said. The fire was reported late Friday night, Nov. 15, at Highland Golf Club in Shelton, the fire department there said. The call came in around 11:30 p.m. and firefighters could see a "large orange glow" from a far distance as they made their way to the 261 Wooster St. 125-year-old golf course.
