These Towns Got The Most Snow In CT: Winter Storm Brings 6 Inches Across The State Connecticut towns experienced significant snowfall from the storm that swept through the region on Jan. 19 and 20.  Towns in Hartford County recorded some of the highest totals in the state, with North Canton and Glastonbury Center each receiving 6 inches, according to the National Weather Service. Purse Forcibly Stolen From Woman In CT Library Parking Lot: Suspects At Large Authorities are looking for suspects traveling in a stolen vehicle who forcibly stole a purse from a woman in a Connecticut library parking lot.  The incident happened in New Haven County on Wednesday, June 26 just after:15 p.m., when an 80-year-old woman's purse was stolen in the parking lot of the Southbury Library at 100 Poverty Rd. after a short struggle, according to Southbury Police.  The suspects' vehicle was described as a black Cadillac XT5 with a Rhode Island registration 1BR577, which was later confirmed to have been stolen from Stonington, police said.
