2 Critically Injured After Being Struck On Sidewalk In Westport Two people are in critical condition after a vehicle veered off the roadway in Fairfield County and hit two pedestrians on a sidewalk. The incident occurred in Westport around 6:45 p.m. on Imperial Avenue near Post Road East. According to Westport Police Deputy Chief David Farrell, police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to the scene following a 911 call. David Rappaport, age 58, of Westport, was charged on Friday, July 26, around 12:15 a.m. on Post Road East in Westport. According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, an officer in the area was approached by two people who witnessed the erratic driving in Fairfield and alerted the officer. The incident occurred in Westport on Thursday, May 23, on the crosswalk at Post Road East in the area of Main Street. According to Lt.
