Blaze Rips Through CT Home; Family Escapes Without Injury
Fire tore through a Connecticut home late last night, leaving significant damage but no injuries, authorities said. Firefighters were called to the Newtown home around 9:30 p.m. The Botsford Fire Department said everyone inside was able to escape. Crews fought their way into the home and salvaged several personal items for the family, removing them from the home, while battling the fire. Botsford Fire Department Firefighters from across Fairfield County responded to the fire. All crews had left the scene The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

15 Left Homeless After Fire Guts CT Home Days Before Christmas
A late-night fire tore through a Connecticut home this week, sending one person to the hospital and displacing 15 people, authorities said. Hartford firefighters received a 911 call around 4:40 a.m. about the blaze at a multi-family home at 62 Adams Street in the Upper Albany neighborhood. Driver Jumps Out Of Passing Car To Help Resident Who Escaped From CT House Fire
A Connecticut resident received heavy burns to his head and face while escaping from his burning home. The incident occurred in New Haven County on Lynn Terrace around 6 p.m., Thursday, in Seymour. According to Seymour Fire Marshal Timothy Willis, when firefighters arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames and an injured resident who had "self-evacuated." Willis said a Good Samaritan had jumped out of a passing car to help neighbors get the man in his 60s to the ambulance. The unidentified man was transported to the Bridgeport Hospital Burn Unit.
