CT Fugitive Wanted For Killing Neighbor, Dad Of 8 In 2009 Captured In Spain: Cops A fugitive wanted for the 2009 murder of a Bridgeport father was captured in Spain and extradited to the United States, authorities announced. Marques Wanderson, 46, was taken into custody by the Spanish National Police in August 2024. U.S. Marshals transported him back to the U.S. on Thursday, February 6, and immediately handed him over to Bridgeport Police. Police say Wanderson is responsible for the Aug. 2, 2009, shooting death of 49-year-old Harold Gantt at an apartment complex on the 200 block of Madison Avenue. Woman Charged With Elder Abuse At Care Center In Fairfield County A woman who worked as an aide at a Fairfield County care center has been charged with elder abuse after allegedly ignoring a man all night who had fallen out of bed. The incident occurred in Norwalk in November 2023 at the Fairfield Family Care Center. According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, an investigation found that an older man was left unattended and injured after falling out of his bed during the overnight hours.  Detectives collected evidence, interviewed witnesses, and determined that New Jersey resident Lydia Lungile, age 40, of Newark, was the …
