A former Fairfield official with an alleged violent history has admitted in federal court to threatening to kill town police officers, federal authorities said.
Raymond Neuberger, 41, of Easton, pleaded guilty earlier this month to transmitting interstate communications containing a threat after waiving his right to an indictment, according to the U.S. attorney’s office for Connecticut.

Three Americans have been accused of participating in online groups dedicated to creating and distributing videos of extreme violence and sexual abuse against monkeys.
An indictment, unsealed on Wednesday, June 11, names Katrina D. Favret, of Tennessee, and Robert M. Craig, of North Carolina, according to the US Department of Justice.

A Connecticut man horrifically beat a family member's kitten and left it to die in the cold in Fairfield County, then lied to cover it up, authorities said.
Krzystof Bakota, age 47, of Shelton, is charged with first-degree animal abuse and was being held on a $25,000 bond, police said.
