Wrong-Way Driver Crashes SUV Into Car On I-91 In CT, Police Say
Police are investigating a head-on, two-vehicle crash that happened over the weekend on I-91 in Connecticut.
The crash happened in the Hartford County town of Rocky Hill at about 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, Connecticut State Police reported.
A 2020 Mazda CX-9 Touring was going the wrong way in the left lane of I-91 northbound near Exit 22 and struck a 2012 Cadillac CTS, police said.
The driver of the Mazda, 75-year-old man from Hampton in Windham County, suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.

A business owner from Connecticut has admitted he failed to report more than $900,000 in income on his personal federal tax returns.
Windham County resident Mariusz Kalinowski, age 47, of Woodstock, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Nov. 29, to one count of filing a false tax return, according to Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Woman, Man Become Combative With Troopers After Burglary In CT, Police Say
A woman and man are facing charges after a burglary and fight with officers in Connecticut.
At around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24, troopers from Troop C in Tolland responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind a residence on Middle Turnpike, in Mansfield.
The reporting party advised Troop C that the residence was known to be unoccupied for an extended period of time, state police said.

One person was killed in a large, early morning apartment fire in Connecticut.
The blaze broke out in Windham County around 12:40 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17 in Moosup.
Members of the Plainfield Police responded to the area of Moosup Gardens Apartments on Gorman Street for a report of a structure fire involving multiple apartment units, police officials said.
