Police ID Woman Killed In New Haven Crash
A woman struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a New Haven roadway has been identified by police.
Judith Williams, age 42, of New Haven, was killed around 6:15 p.m., Monday, Jan. 22 on Whalley Avenue near Hudson Street in New Haven.
Capt. Rose Bell of the New Haven police said officers responded to the area after a motorist called 911 and reported that he had struck a female in the roadway.
The man, who has not been identified, said he did not see Williams, but felt the impact, police said.

College Student Killed In Stabbing On CT Roadway
A man who was stabbed to death in Connecticut has been identified as a student at Southern Connecticut State University.
Nico Saraceni, age 29, was found around 9:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10, in New Haven on Whalley Avenue, between Whittlesey Avenue and Osborn Avenue, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police.
American Medical Response transported Saraceni to Yale New Haven Hospital where he died from his injuries, he added.

CT Woman 34, Killed After Crashing Into Tree, Police Say
A 34-year-old Connecticut woman was killed after crashing her Kia into a tree.
The victim died around 1:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, after crashing her white Kia into the tree on Whalley Avenue in New Haven.
According to Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police, responding officers found the woman, Brittany Jones, inside the vehicle in the area of Whalley Avenue, between Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Ellsworth Avenue.
American Medical Response transported the Jones to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she died from her injuries, Shumway said.

CT Man Shot On Thanksgiving Dies From Injuries, Police Say
A Connecticut man who was shot on Thanksgiving has died from his injuries.
The shooting took place around 1:15 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 25 on Sherman Avenue, between Elm Street and Whalley Avenue in New Haven, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police.
When officers arrived on the scene, a concerned citizen led responding officers to Lemuel Hamilton, a 45-year-old New Haven man, who had been struck by gunfire, Shumway said.
