Stew Leonard Sr., of Westport, Connecticut, died on Wednesday, April 26 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City after a brief illness, according to Stew Leonard's website.

Two Connecticut men, including one who was the subject of an hours-long manhunt in Westchester, face charges after stealing a vehicle, a submachine gun, and a semiautomatic handgun, police said.
The incident began on Monday, April 24 around 1:30 p.m., when Westchester County Police were alerted that a stolen black Audi from Fairfield County was traveling near the border of Pelham and Mount Vernon, according to the department.

A man had to be cut out of his vehicle by firefighters after crashing on a stretch of I-95 in Connecticut when his vehicle was hit by an unknown flying object.
The crash took place in Westport on I-95 between exits 16 and 17 around 3:15 a.m., Wednesday, April 19.
According to the Connecticut State Police, a 2019 Toyota Camry driven by Rafael Pacheco, age 51, of the Bronx, was traveling southbound on I-95, in the left lane, in Westport, when all of a sudden an unknown object struck the windshield, dismantling the roof.

An investment advisor from Fairfield County will spend time in prison after failing to report more than $1.4 million in income to the IRS, federal officials said.
Westport resident Thomas Pacilio, age 64, was sentenced on Thursday, April 13 to six months in prison for omitting around $1,476,425 in profits in income tax returns between 2015 and 2018, according to the US Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut.

Police in Westport have released the identity of a body found floating in a retention pond.
According to Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods, the body found early Monday, April 3, has been identified as that of Errol Whyte, age 62, of Stamford.
Whyte has been missing since Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, and was the subject of a missing person investigation by the Stamford Police Department, he said.
On Friday, Dec. 30, Whyte's 2002 Ford Explorer was found unoccupied on I-95 southbound between Exits 18 and 17 near the Saugatuck Bridge, Stamford Police said at the time.
