3-Alarm Christmas Morning House Fire Displaces 2 In Norwalk
Two people were displaced after a three-alarm Christmas morning house fire in Connecticut. The blaze broke out in Fairfield County just before 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25 in Norwalk in a 2.5-story home on Pine Hill Avenue. Initial reports stated there was smoke in the basement. Upon arrival, Norwalk Fire Department Engine 3 encountered smoke coming from multiple windows, Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Adam Markowitz said. Fatal Crash: 28-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On Merritt Parkway In Westport
One person was killed in an overnight crash in Connecticut. It happened just before 10:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23 in Fairfield County on the Merritt Parkway in Westport on the southbound side just before Exit 42. For those who enjoy fresh, organic foods, the news that three new Whole Foods markets will be coming to Connecticut next year is a big deal. In Fairfield County, the new store is being built in Stamford at 110 High Ridge Road (Route 104), according to the CT Insider. It replaces the old Lord & Taylor store that closed in 2021. Man Nabbed For Assaulting Girlfriend In Westport, Police Say
A 35-year-old Connecticut man is behind bars for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in a car. The incident occurred in Westport around 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5 on the Sherwood Island Connector. According to Lt. Eric Woods, of the Westport Police, New Haven County resident Antonio Trusty, of Waterbury, was arrested after receiving information from his girlfriend that she was assaulted in a car and prevented from calling 911. A 20-year-old man was nabbed by Connecticut State Police allegedly driving 120 mph on Route 8 in Fairfield Couty. New Jersey resident Ethan Steier, of Warren in Somerset County, was clocked around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26 in a green BMW traveling in excess of 120 mph on Route 8 southbound in the area of Exit 2 in Bridgeport. A Silver Alert has been issued for a Fairfield County man who has not been seen in three days and is in need of his medication. Todd Patrick Ford of Westport was last seen around 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14 leaving the complex at 5 Canal St., on foot. According to Westport Police Lt. One person received burns to their hands while attempting to put out a house fire in Fairfield County. The blaze occurred in Westport around 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 12, on Riverside Avenue. A 54-year-old woman was charged with burglary after she allegedly broke into a Fairfield County home and was found "rummaging" in the kitchen.
