'Deplorable Conditions': 103 Animals Rescued From Woodstock Home, Owner Charged A Connecticut home was described as a house of horrors for the more than 100 animals that were trapped inside and with limited access to food, water, and clean air, authorities said. The conditions were so bad that veterinarians had to euthanize four of the dogs that were rescued because they were so sick.  Windham County resident Tracy Donovan, age 59, of Woodstock, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 21, and charged with 103 counts of animal cruelty, Connecticut State Police said. Beagle Left Nearly Dead On Western Mass Roadside; Police Looking For Truck That Abandoned Her A beagle nicknamed Bagel was abandoned on a Hampshire County roadside last month, suffering from a battery of severe health problems and covered in feces. Police are now asking for the public's help to find the person who left her there.  Bagel was dropped off near a Tractor Supply Company in Belchertown on July 2. The 2-year-old was covered in excrement, had mange, a double ear inflection, cheery eyes, and infections in her paws. She had also had puppies at some point.
