4 Charged With Selling Pot In CT Smoke Shop Bust
Four employees of a Fairfield County smoke shop have been charged with allegedly selling marijuana without a license. The arrests occurred on Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Cream Smoke Shop at 955 Ferry Blvd., in Stratford. According to Capt. Jerry Pinto of the Stratford Police, the department’s Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit, recently investigated the activities at the shop, which is not licensed to sell or distribute cannabis or THC products. A 29-year-old woman is facing manslaughter charges in connection with a suspected DWI, wrong-way crash on I-84 in Connecticut that killed a woman and toddler. A large number of illegal items containing THC were seized from a smoke shop in Fairfield County following a search of the business conducted by authorities, police announced. The illegal items were seized from Savvy Smoker located in Westport at 940 Post Rd. East during a search conducted by Westport Police detectives on Tuesday, Dec. 19, the department announced. Fairfield County Students Fall Ill From Chocolate Believed To Contain THC, Police Say
An investigation is underway after a group of Fairfield County middle school students fell ill after eating chocolate believed to contain THC. Police began an investigation on Thursday, March 31, after between 10 and 15 students at Rogers Park Middle School, located in Danbury, became sick after eating pieces of a "WONKA BAR" edible, according to the City of Danbury Police Department.
