Plainville Woman Who Opened Fire Inside Bristol Police Station Gets 12 Years In Prison A 53-year-old woman who admitted to firing multiple shots inside a Connecticut police department lobby in 2023 has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, authorities said. Suzanne Laprise, of Plainville, pleaded guilty in February to attempted first-degree assault and was sentenced on Tuesday, April 8, according to Bristol police. She must also serve five years of probation once she's released. Woman Who Opened Fire In Bristol Police Station Takes Plea Deal: 'We Are Satisfied' A Connecticut woman accused of opening fire inside the Bristol Police Department lobby has taken a plea deal, officials said. Suzanne Laprise, 51, of Plainville, pleaded guilty in New Britain Court in connection with the October 6, 2023, shooting inside the station, Bristol Police Chief Mark Morello said in a statement. Laprise admitted to a charge of an attempt to commit assault.
