A video from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department that captured New Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi talking down a would-be bridge jumper is going viral. Bon Jovi had been filming a music video for his song "People's House" on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge when he spotted the woman standing on a ledge of the bridge Tuesday evening, Sept. 10, multiple news outlets are reporting. Fairfield Resident Kills Self While Police On Scene
A resident died by suicide while police were on the scene for a welfare check in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in the town of Fairfield around 3 p.m., Monday, March 4 on Longdean Road. According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police, the resident's employer called the police asking for a welfare check when the employee did not show up for work or answer the phone. A heartfelt moment was shared when a New Haven police officer was able to stop a man from jumping off a bridge. On Friday, Jan. 13, while on patrol, two police officers in the neighborhood of Fair Haven were alerted that a man in distress was about to jump off the Ferry Street Bridge. Man Attempting To Jump From Area Overpass Bridge Saved By Police, Good Samaritans
With the help of several alert citizens, police in Fairfield County prevented a despondent man from his suicide attempt of jumping from an overpass onto the highway below. The incident took place early Sunday, Jan. 23, about 1:30 a.m. in Trumbull.
